Fall 2017 New Student Orientation

Welcome to Claremont Graduate University! We invite you to join us at New Student Orientation as we welcome our incoming Summer and Fall classes of students. We’ve planned a day of events to welcome you to the Claremont Graduate University community and put you on the path towards success. You’ll be introduced to academic and social support crucial to a fruitful experience at CGU. You’ll also meet faculty, staff, and students in your home department and across disciplines. Your day will conclude with a relaxing reception planned just for you to unwind and get ready to start the semester strong. We look forward to seeing you at Orientation!

PARKING
We recommend parking on the CGU campus and then walking south on College Way or College Avenue to the Pomona College campus. You may park on the streets and in the general parking lots on the CGU campus. Please, however, do not park on the west side of College Avenue or on any of the residential streets west of College Avenue.

You may refer to the map on the Orientation webpage for the recommended walking route from the CGU campus to the Pomona College campus, and for other key locations throughout the day.

ATTIRE
During Orientation, you will be walking around various campus locations throughout the day. Therefore, we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and business casual attire.
